Fayetteville Public Utilities is working on upgrading multiple services across Lincoln County.
Fayetteville Public Utilities continues to move forward with several major utility projects across Lincoln County, according to General Manager Britt Dye. Dye said the 3.5-million-dollar, multi-year water infrastructure project focusing on replacing and upgrading aging water lines throughout the service area remains on schedule. This week crews are working along North Bellview Avenue, Washington Street, and towards North Main Avenue. Contractors are working on the sewer line project along Huntsville Highway but will suspend work week after next during the Lincoln county fair. Electric crews are also working on Liberty road installing new power lines. Dye said upcoming work includes sewer line inspection and slip-line replacements near the Liberty Road lift station.
