During an almost three hour work session the Fayetteville Board of Mayor and Aldermen heard from Patrick McIntyre, Jr. Executive Director and State Historic Preservation Officer about the Camp Blount Agreement.
The Fayetteville Board of Mayor and Aldermen held a work session Thursday morning. One of the items on their agenda was the Camp Blount agreement between the city and state. Patrick McIntyre, Executive Director and State Historic Preservation Officer addressed the Board. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will be considering a renewal of the Camp Blount agreement with the state in a future Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, possibly as early as next week. Other items on the agenda for the work session was discussion about how the city can establish an Entertainment District downtown and designate outdoor drinking on the square. Mayor Donna Hartman voted in breaking a 3-3 tie vote to proceed with accepting 140 acres from the Industrial Development Board.
