Multi-State Chase Ends With Arrest

A report of a reckless driver in Giles County turned into a multi-state pursuit that ended in Morgan County, Alabama Friday night.

A high speed chase that started in Giles County and ended in Morgan County, Alabama Friday night resulted in the arrest of one man. Authorities in Giles County said officers responded to a report of a reckless driver on Highway 31 and then on Interstate 65. The suspect fled south on the interstate. Giles County notified Limestone County deputies and Ardmore police, who intercepted the suspect when he crossed the state line. After deploying spike strips several times, the chase finally ended just south of the Tennessee River Bridge on Interstate 65. Jason Rose was charged with trafficking meth, unlawful possession of a controlled substance which authorities said was LSD, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of a pistol as a violent felon, felony attempting to elude, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities say Rose was out on bond for unrelated charges at the time of this incident. Rose was being held in the Limestone County jail awaiting a bond hearing.
