An 80-year-old man is safe thanks to the efforts of volunteers and law enforcement officers from Moore, Bedford and Franklin counties as well as the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Moore county authorities said a call came in to the 911 Center shortly after 4 o’clock Friday afternoon after Clyde Farless went missing. Farless reportedly suffers from dementia. He was found safe about 12 hours later. Ground crews had been unsuccessful and had halted their search to rest and warm up. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigated joined the search using an aircraft with infrared capabilities. The pilot spotted a possible heat source and guided searchers to a steep hillside where they found Farless alive. He was taken to an area hospital, but his condition is unknown.
