Lincoln County authorities were called to a home on Quick School Road late yesterday afternoon to a report of a missing child. Sheriff Tull Malone issued the following statement about 7 o’clock last night. “At approximately 4:20 PM Thursday, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to an incident in the southern part of the county involving a five-year-old child who had fallen into a swimming pool. Deputies arrived on scene and, along with family members, immediately began administering life-saving measures until EMS and first responders arrived. The child was subsequently transported to the hospital, where they are currently receiving medical care. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office asks the community to keep the child and family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, no further details will be released at this time. We thank all first responders involved for their swift actions and dedication.
