19 Employees are unaccounted for following the massive explosion this morning.
A massive explosion this morning at Accurate Energetic Systems (AES) in Hickman County has claimed the lives of some workers and has left at least 19 employees inside the building unaccounted for. AES is a contractor for the Department of Defense and makes explosive munitions. The blast occurred about 7:46 this morning and leveled the building. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has also been called since the business involves explosives. Blood Assurance is on standby to send additional blood products to area hospitals. Already dealing with a critical blood shortage they are asking any community members to donate what they can into the weekend to help keep an adequate supply.
