Lincoln County Volunteer Fire Rescue responded to a fire on Ben Thompson Road about 4 am Friday morning.

Lincoln County Volunteer Fire Rescue responded to a fire on Ben Thompson Road about 4 am Friday morning. The homeowner was leaving for work when he noticed a glow coming from the building and called 911. Upon arrival firefighters found a large metal shop completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters battled the fire for about three hours before getting all of the flames completely extinguished.  Everything inside the building, including several restored cars and shop equipment, were destroyed. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
