Fire units found a fire in the attic of one of the apartments and quickly extinguished the blaze.
Lincoln County Volunteer Fire/Rescue was called to the 300 block of Prospect Road about midnight. A caller reported the smell of smoke in an apartment complex. Fire units found a fire in the attic of one of the apartments and quickly extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire was an electrical issue, all power was shut off to the complex until an electrician could repair the damaged wiring. One of the apartment residents required assistance from the Red Cross who also responded. No injuries were reported.
