The Sheriff’s Department Citizens Academy will meet again tonight where they will learn about Dispatch Operations at the Fayetteville Lincoln Communications Center. For the past 7 weeks citizen cadets have been getting an inside look at what it takes to operate the sheriff’s department, and the challenges deputies often face. Some of the cadets have participated in the ride along program where they have accompanied deputies in the field on actual calls. Cadets quickly learn real law enforcement is many time far different from what you see on TV.
