It’s almost that time of year when the woods become a masterpiece of colors as the trees prepare to shed their foliage for the winter. The Tennessee State parks forecast of when the colors will be at their peak for various parts of the state shows that Lincoln County and counties directly west of use should be at peak between October 28th and November 11. North and east of us the forecast is for the peak to be October 21st through November 4th. And, if you’re planning a trip to the Smokies next week through October 28th is the best time with the peak expected around October 21st.
