Four separate accidents kept emergency personnel busy this past weekend.
Lincoln Health Services EMS Paramedics had a busy weekend. Four separate accidents kept Paramedics and Lincoln County Fire/Rescue personnel running Saturday and Sunday. The first accident of the weekend happened about 11:45 Saturday morning. That accident happened at the intersection of Washington Street West and Main Avenue North. The next accident happened about 8:30 Saturday night on Old Mulberry Road. A car hit the guardrail of a bridge. The next accident occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday. Lincoln fire/Rescue personnel and EMS paramedics were called to the 2500 block of the Lewisburg Highway. Lincoln County Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Doug Campbell confirmed that two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extracated before being taken to the hospital. Another accident just after 11 o’clock Sunday morning sent at least one person to the hospital. That accident happened on the Pulaski Highway and involved 2 vehicles. One person was taken to the hospital from that accident.
