5 people, including two children were injured in an accident on Highway 110 in Ardmore Tuesday morning.
A grinding multi-vehicle accident on Highway 110 in Ardmore about 11:40 this morning sent five people to the hospital, two in critical condition. A box truck and an SUV collided just south of the Ardmore City Limits. A small child was trapped in the wreckage in their child restraint seat. Two adults suffered critical injuries, one with an amputated foot. Two medical helicopters were called to respond but due to the weather only one was able to fly. One person was flown to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services and the other was taken to Huntsville Hospital via ambulance. Two children and an adult were taken by ambulance to the hospital in stable condition. Highway 110 was closed for several hours while Tennessee State Troopers investigated the crash. A trooper spokesman said additional details would be released later today or in the morning.
