The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is investigating a deadly boating incident Normandy Lake. According to the TWRA, at approximately 11:30 Friday morning, officers were notified of an unoccupied boat drifting on Normandy Lake in Coffee County, which was later determined to have been operated by 21-year-old Ashton Matney of Lawrenceburg. His body was recovered by dive teams about 8 o’clock Friday night in approximately 10 feet of water. According to the TWRA. He was not wearing a personal floatation device. The TWRA said this incident marks the second boating-related death on Normandy Lake and the fifth on Tennessee waterways this year.
