Lightning knocked out the Flintville substation.

Linemen with Fayetteville Public Utilities worked late into the night last night restoring power to almost 3-thousand customers who lost power as a result of the powerful thunderstorms that ripped across Lincoln County yesterday. Lightning knocked out the Flintville substation that resulted in several other substations also loosing power. After the substations were restored scattered outages throughout the county were the result of downed trees and broken power poles. Power was fully restored before midnight last night.
