The pilot of a single engine Cessna airplane had to make an emergency landing Saturday afternoon near New Market, Alabama. The pilot reportedly told New Market Volunteer Fire/Rescue personnel that he ran out of fuel. He successfully landed the plane in a corn field near the intersection of Mill Springs Road and Hatmaker Road. He was not injured.
