More food recalls are affecting area residents. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says a recall involving white jasmine rice has now been expanded to a dozen states including Tennessee. The recall involves more than 27, 000 two pound packages of rice from Lundberg Family Farms. In April, the company began getting reports about potential contamination with foreign materials. New details, though, were released in August. The rice was sold at major chains including Walmart, Target, and Whole Foods. The impacted lots have a best-by date of February 1st and 2nd, 2027.
