A leaking connection on a gas meter is being blamed for a gas leak last night in Flintville.
Flintville Volunteer firefighters responded to a hazardous materials event on Vandiver Road about 7:15 last night. The homeowner reported the smell of natural gas at their home. Firefighters discovered a leak at the gas meter and turned the gas off. Fayetteville Utility crews will make repairs later today.
