On April 7, this year, sometime between 2:40 am and 7:40 a.m., someone broke the drive through window out of Park City Discount Smoke Shop at 2711 Huntsville highway. They were able to enter the business and steal a large quantity of 7-HYDO. "7 Hydro" typically refers to 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), a highly potent, opioid-like compound derived from the kratom plant and often referred to as gas station heroin. Beginning July first, possession of kratom is a Class A misdemeanor, while selling or manufacturing it carries Class C felony charges. The burglar was so happy with his spoils he tried again the break into the business through the same drive through window but added security measure prevented him from gaining entry.
