Students at Ralph Askins school have a new way to get books to read. Thanks to a $10,000 grant from the Tennessee Valley Authority, in partnership with Fayetteville Public Utilities, Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machone has been installed at Ralph Askins School. The vending machine is the first of it’s kind, allowing students to earn golden tokens for books as a reward for positive behavior. The grant was awarded as part of the School Uplift program designed to assist schools in making smart energy choices that improve classroom learning environment and save money through decreased energy use.
