Afternoon heat index values between 99 and 105 degrees can be expected through this coming Friday.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville is forecasting dangerous heat indices again this week. Afternoon heat index values between 99 and 105 degrees can be expected through this coming Friday. Tomorrow and Wednesday will be the coolest days but the heat index is expected to be 99 degrees both days. There is a 60 to 80 percent chance of strong to potentially severe thunderstorms this afternoon but the chance of rain drops to 30 percent or less tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday.
